When you combine legendary Big Altima Energy with drunkenness, the result apparently is pure chaos. That’s what happens in this dashcam footage of an Arkansas trooper trying to stop a suspect for suspected DWI. It starts off calm enough but quickly escalates into something unnecessarily messy and destructive.
Passenger dies in high-speed Dodge Charger crash.
At first the Nissan Altima driver signals and behaves like he’s going to pull over for the trooper. He even exits the freeway. But then it’s like a switch flips and the guy decides to see what his sedan can do versus a cop.
Pretty soon he’s blowing through red lights, swerving around other cars, and even driving off-road for no good reason at all. It’s like the guy wants to create as much chaos as possible, destroying his Nissan and putting everyone else at risk in the process.
Speaking of destroying his car, the little off-roading stint he does blows out at least one tire. When he starts driving the Altima on the road again, sparks start shooting from the bare wheel rims grinding against the pavement.
That’s pretty nice of him to spike his own tires like that instead of making Arkansas State Police do it. If we didn’t know better, we’d say this guy wanted to help the trooper catch him. But if that were the case he would’ve just pulled over from the get-go.
Realizing the suspect’s riding on a bare wheel, the trooper pulls back and lets the fleeing suspect take care of himself instead of trying to perform a PIT maneuver. Sure enough, when the road curves up ahead, the Altima goes straight, wrecking out. The allegedly drunk driver did ASP’s work yet again.
Once he’s taken into custody he immediately turns into a blubbering idiot, claiming he didn’t know why he ran. This is why you don’t drink and drive, folks, it’s a bad combination.
