“It’s always a Mustang” seems to be the mantra everyone repeats whenever a driver wrecks out while behind the wheel of the pony car. We know Mustang enthusiasts hate that stereotype, but it seems to perpetuate every time there’s some crazy accident like this one in North Vancouver, British Columbia with the Ford doing its best impersonation of a cockroach with its belly in the air.
An iconic feature in Los Angeles has been damaged in a single car crash.
The unfortunate accident happened back on August 27 just before 10 pm when the driver lost control, then hit a curb, reports North Shore News. That impact caused the Mustang to flip onto its roof like a dying bug.
In the process of being curbed, the Ford muscle car lost its front bumper cover. We assume that was torn off by the concrete barrier, although it might have been yanked free in the rollover. Either way, the Mustang is likely totaled and destined for an insurance auction sometime in the future.
Now we know everyone is going to automatically assume things about the driver, especially with the Mustang hitting a curb. Like they’re probably thinking it’s never parked inside the lines at the store and such. And if you believe that, you’re likely right.
The report says the driver is “a male in his 20s.” Shocker.
We see so many young guys in Ford Mustangs who think they need to keep that foot planted on the accelerator at all times. Sometimes we see them in something like a C6 Corvette, Camaro, or Challenger. But we see a lot in Mustangs. And that might be responsible for a fair share of the stereotype.
Before you’re thinking the kid was drunk, police apparently ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash. But they’re still weighing if speed was. We think we already know the answer: speed plus reckless inexperience equals trouble.
Kids like this should stick to Jettas or Civics.
