It’s time to get off the road and have some fun!
Riding a motorcycle on the road can be fun, but with how many aggressive, distracted drivers there are these days, it can also be incredibly stressful. Fortunately, BMW Motorrad is working to get more people into the adventure riding scene, which is a great way to enjoy riding in the serenity and beauty of nature. For 2023, the motorcycle brand has yet again teamed up with Backcountry Discovery Routes, a non-profit adventure motorcycling organization, providing a wonderful adventure route through rugged territory in Oregon.

This new route takes riders through a variety of rugged terrain, starting in the high desert of southeastern Oregon. From there, the journey takes you north through volcanic formations and into the Cascade Range where the mountain roads can be steep and challenging.
To get everyone excited for this new Oregon route, BMW Motorrad and Backcountry Discovery Routes are holding a film premier event in Portland on February 4. Certain dealerships will be holding events on the same day. If you can’t make that date or place, don’t worry. There are over 70 screenings of the film planned throughout the spring season, with dealers and clubs hosting them all over the United States.
Adventure riding can be a wonderful way to see backcountry areas you might normally never even glimpse. With the vast wilderness areas of Oregon, the state is a perfect fit for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of cities, enjoying the simplicity of riding on two tires through nature.
Last year, BMW Motorrad and Backcountry Discovery Routes released a route in Wyoming. The non-profit now has 12 adventure routes mapped, offering free GPS tracks and other resources for anyone interested.
