Hellcat Mike, a guy who would sell Mopar muscle cars and post videos of him ditching police, is going to prison. After a trial in Ford Bend County, Texas, the man whose real name is Michael Wilson has been sentenced to a decade in prison after unsuccessfully running from police in February 2024.
Michigan city will publicly auction off seized Mopar muscle cars.
We covered before how Hellcat Mike was accused of using his crew to steal and re-VIN muscle cars, in particular Dodge Hellcats. He was allegedly taking stolen Hellcats and reselling the vehicles to buyers for cheap.
Apparently, part of his business model was recording himself leading police on chases in the Mopars. Then he would post the videos to Instagram and other social media sites as advertisement.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who this was appealing to. Most people who are interested in outrunning cops are criminals.
Plus, buying a Hellcat on the cheap is a sure sign you’re getting a stolen ride. Maybe a few naïve individuals didn’t realize that, but we’d be willing to bet a lot of Hellcat Mike’s customers knew exactly what they were buying.
Before you think Hellcat Mike is doing 10 years in prison and might be off on good behavior in five, there’s more. He’s about to be sentenced for another case of running from police in Guadalupe County, Texas.
That one might come with another 10 years of time behind bars. There could be more coming since it seems the guy made a habit of running from cops.
Plus, his activities of chopping, re-vinning, and selling stolen Dodge Hellcats will be the focus of another criminal trial in Texas. He could be facing multiple serious charges and could get well over 10 years in prison when the dust settles there.
In other words, Hellcat Mike could be living the consequences of his actions in a big way. Let this be a lesson to anyone thinking stealing cars or doing anything with stolen rides is a good idea.
