The Belltown Hellcat guy is back in the news, this time because a judge sentenced him to serve time in jail. After terrorizing people in Seattle with reckless driving and crazy antics on public roads, then documenting it all online, Miles Hudson is living out the consequences of his actions.

In case you don’t recall, Hudson amassed a huge social media following with some rather flamboyant mods on his Dodge Charger Hellcat. He would race the muscle car around Seattle and the surrounding area, goofing off with friends and in general being more than just annoying.

Many residents in the area where Hudson lived said his exhaust would often backfire, sounding like gunshots to them. They got to work, finally figuring out through his social media who was behind the Belltown Hellcat, then turned the information over to authorities.

Since then, the guy has been in and out of court more times that we can count. He’s been fined large sums or money, had his car impounded, and has been hit with multiple orders from the court.

This time around, he was sentenced by a judge to 364 days in jail for reckless driving following a trial in June. During the court proceedings, Hudson admitted he realized behaving the way he did for social media meant he could earn a lot of money, reports KIRO.

Hudson’s sentence involved suspending 327 of the days in jail, plus giving him credit for time he’s already spent behind bars, meaning he will serve about 30 days. Of course, if he gets in trouble again, he might have to do the remaining 327 days as well.

Lest anyone think doing the Belltown Hellcat thing is a great way to make quick cash, Hudson has seen his fortune rapidly diminished as he’s had to deal with multiple court actions from local and state government entities. Documenting criminal actions online isn’t exactly a smart thing to do, even if you do make some money off it.
