Automakers seem convinced we need it, but most people have no idea a growing number of new cars now include built-in video games. The very concept would likely make many drivers laugh, and understandably so, given how little it relates to actually driving.
Adding games to vehicles reflects automakers’ push to turn cars into entertainment hubs. Whether buyers genuinely want such features is another question, and many remain skeptical of technology that strays so far from a car’s core purpose.
