A 62-year-old man and his teenage rider got badly hurt when their Chevy Vette smashed into a big rig in Moore County. Cops confirmed the wreck went down on Highway 211 after the dude behind the wheel lost it, sending the sleek black Z06 skidding straight under the rear wheels of an 18-wheeler.
The collision absolutely demolished the Corvette’s front end—hood gone, fenders shredded, door panel ripped clean off. Neither the driver nor the 15-year-old kid buckled up. No surprise, investigators said that choice played a major role in their gnarly injuries: multiple fractures, paramedics rushing them to the ER.
Crash site photos showed the crumpled Vettes horrible damage. Crews battled to pry the victims from the wreckage while others cleared twisted metal from the asphalt. Names? Not released yet. Charges? Still up in the air.
What went wrong? Speed? Slick roads? Investigators are digging, but one thing’s crystal clear—this mess screams another harsh lesson on why skipping seat belts is pure idiocy. Even a split-second mistake can turn deadly, especially in a low-slung speed demon like a Corvette.
