There’s a Serial Road Rager in Hawaii

A man linked to a series of violent road rage incidents in Hawaii and California changed his plea in court Tuesday, moving one step closer to sentencing in a high-profile Honolulu case.

Nathaniel Radimak, 39, entered a no-contest plea to three charges related to a May 7, 2025, road rage attack in the Kakaako area. The charges include one felony count of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and two counts of third-degree assault. The victim of the incident was present in the courtroom during the plea change.

Radimak appeared noticeably different from an earlier court appearance, when he had visible bandages and bruising after being injured while in custody. Since that time, the court ordered a mental evaluation to determine whether he was competent to stand trial. A judge later ruled that he was fit to proceed.

Before accepting the plea, the judge conducted standard questioning to ensure Radimak understood the consequences of his decision, was mentally capable of entering the plea, and knowingly waived his right to a trial. During that process, Radimak acknowledged that he is under ongoing mental health treatment, has been receiving care for approximately two years, and is prescribed multiple daily medications. He also confirmed that he has been diagnosed with a mental illness and is under medical supervision.

Radimak has drawn national attention in the past for a series of alleged road rage incidents in California, where he became widely known as the so-called Tesla road rage driver. Authorities in Hawaii previously accused him of targeting a young woman at a Planet Fitness location in Kahala while he was on parole.

Following his arrest in Honolulu, Radimak was reportedly assaulted by other inmates and required hospital treatment for his injuries.

As part of the no-contest plea, Radimak will be required to pay restitution to the victims. He faces a potential sentence of up to five years in prison for the felony charge, along with up to one year for each of the two assault counts.
