A police chase involving a U-Haul truck ended in violent fashion in Georgia after deputies used a precision maneuver to stop the vehicle, sending it tumbling into a church parking lot.

The pursuit unfolded in Paulding County last Wednesday after authorities say the driver was weaving through traffic, driving recklessly, and striking at least one other vehicle while trying to escape deputies. Dashcam footage from the chase shows the rental truck swerving across lanes before deputies finally forced it off the road.

According to authorities, the incident began in neighboring Cobb County before continuing into Paulding County. By the time deputies became fully involved, investigators say the U-Haul was already being driven aggressively and unpredictably.

Officials say Jones now faces charges including reckless driving, speeding, hit-and-run, and drug trafficking. Authorities also reported finding drugs inside the U-Haul after the crash.
