California is seriously considering zero-emission zones, either statewide or through local governments, in the near future. In preparation, the California Air Resources Board appears to be laying the groundwork for rules that could restrict where older vehicles may travel.

Such zones would pose a direct threat to classic car owners who cherish driving their vintage machines. The prospect has alarmed enthusiasts, who fear that aggressive emissions policy could gradually push beloved older cars off the state’s roads.

  1. We need to elect conservative Republicans and get rid of these crazy people running the show.Get back to reality.

  2. It makes me sad to see how far car culture has fallen in this country. Sure, public transit based systems are nice, but people flat out don’t care about their cars anymore. Owning a car is awesome. I even love driving in the shithole city I’m in for college where congestion is an hourly affair, but people just can’t seem to enjoy the little things anymore.

  3. The leftest rule the state. this is who the people of California voted for. As my mother use to say—You made your bed, now lie in it.

  4. «According to a Daily Caller report, on August 2 CARB sent a survey to owners of classic cars from model year 1978 or earlier.»

If I still had my first car, a 1969 Falcon,. and if I had receive this survey, I would sent it back with “It’s none of your f•••ing business!” written on it in big, bold letters.

  5. All classic car owners need to join Sema they are the only ones who can help save your classic vehicles in the United States
