Lamborghini Huracan Crashes During Police Chase

Estimated read time 2 min read

Some people think because they can really drop the hammer in a supercar in a video game that doing the same thing in real life is just as easy. Perhaps that’s why the person behind the wheel of this wrecked Lamborghini Huracan thought running from police was a good plan.

Guy mouths off to a cop and gets an earful.

Instead, as you can clearly see, that driver learned quickly that his driving skills were far outstripped by the supercar. We’ve seen this same kind of situation over and over, whether it’s involving a supercar, muscle car, or any other high-performance machine.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit posted on X about the incident which went down in Chesterfield in the early morning hours of March 2. Chesterfield officers actually tried pulling the Lambo over but the driver lost control under acceleration, sending the Huracan barreling like a Spanish bull right into the median barrier.

According to a report from the Derbyshire Times, a woman in her 20s was taken into custody at the scene. The assumption is that she was a passenger. For whatever set of reasons, she was arrested but made bail after.

The man, however, took off on foot. While police in their post on X said they were confident they would find him, Derbyshire Times said they tracked him down “soon after.”

There’s zero indication from authorities if either the man or woman is the rightful owner of the Lamborghini Huracan or if they had permission from the owner to be driving it. We wouldn’t be shocked to find out the answer is no to both, and that’s why the driver didn’t fully understand the incredible performance at his disposal.

The funny part is had the guy just only kind of pushed the Huracan he probably would’ve smoked police, getting away without wrecking out. We’re not advocating running from police, but a lot of people who do simply have no idea how to drive hard, believing it’s all about just pushing the accelerator hard.
