A social media influencer is dead after a man in a road rage fight fired a random gunshot, striking her in another vehicle. It’s a senseless crime police are still struggling to explain and one that’s scary since the victim wasn’t even remotely connected to the confrontation.

The victim, 27-year-old Yarley Ashley Hermosillo, was riding in a vehicle that wasn’t involved in a road rage fight between two men in Glendale, Arizona just before midnight on August 15. But she was struck by the bullet after one man, Jesus Preciado Dousten, pointed his gun in a random direction and fired one round.
What’s even stranger is the road rage fight hadn’t escalated to any physical aggression. Instead, the two men were simply arguing on the road when Dousten said, “You want some of this?” in Spanish, firing the gun once.
Maybe he was trying to show the other guy he meant business, or maybe he has some serious problems.
After all, as NBC News reports, Dousten has a long criminal history that includes unspecified charges for another road rage incident in Phoenix this past June. During that exchange, he alleged punched another driver in the face.
Dousten apparently likes at least trying to take other people’s cars as he has two convictions from 2016 and 2024 for attempted theft of means of transportation. He also picked up an unlawful flight from law enforcement conviction in 2022, so he likes leading police on chases.
Hermosillo was just starting to gain notoriety online for her cooking skills, amassing a following of about 144,000 on Instagram before her senseless death. She leaves behind a three-year-old son and grieving family who have to grapple with the tragedy that took her life.
