Running from Arkansas State Police is unwise, and if you do, you’d better really know how to drive. A man clocked at 132 mph in his Dodge Challenger evidently thought he could outrun a trooper, pushing the car to 167 mph before claiming his accelerator was stuck.
Dubious mechanical excuses rarely hold up after a high-speed flight from police. The driver’s claim did little to lessen the seriousness of his reckless run, which endangered everyone on the road at such extreme speeds.
