The modern Dodge Dart is so underwhelming it can’t even flee police effectively. Aside from a few diehards, most people have tried to forget the car existed, overshadowed by its more powerful siblings. A failed escape attempt only reinforced its poor reputation.
The Dart never lived up to the performance pedigree of Dodge’s muscle cars. Its lackluster showing during a chase is a fitting illustration of why the compact failed to earn the respect its name once suggested.
