Any competent attorney will tell you that if you lead police on a chase, you should at least stay quiet and ask for a lawyer, providing only basic identifying information. One driver ignored that advice, telling police about his loud exhaust after a high-speed pursuit.
Volunteering incriminating details only helps the prosecution’s case. The driver’s unprompted admission is a textbook example of how talking too much after an arrest can make a bad situation considerably worse.
