Miles Hudson, owner of the infamous Belltown Hellcat, just can’t seem to stop getting in trouble with the law. Not only has he been hit for violations with his modified Mopar muscle car, he’s facing allegations of stalking and sharing revenge porn. But he was arrested again in court, this time after violating an order to stay off social media.
A road rager brought a hammer to a gunfight.
The guy has bragged to police in the past about having hundreds of thousands of followers, hinting that he’s gotten rich off his fans. We’ve seen his content, which we would describe as hyperactive, among other things.
A lot of kids and probably some adults find his reckless behavior entertaining. But a judge ordered him in a previous hearing to stop posting on Instagram and Twitch. However, as covered by Fox 13 Seattle, during a pre-trial hearing on August 12 it was revealed by prosecutors Hudson was posting again on his social media accounts.
To work around the court order, the name of his account and the description were changed to claim he wasn’t posting directly. In other words, he allegedly was sharing photos or videos with someone else who was then putting them on the accounts for the many followers.
Since Hudson has a subscription option, he’s obviously been monetizing behavior prosecutors argue is illegal. The Belltown Hellcat will get his day in court to fight those allegations, but for now the judge in the pre-trial hearing ordered that he not post on social media at all, including through a third party.
Then he was arrested on a $25,000 bench warrant issued by Renton Municipal Court. The judge warned Hudson that coming before him again for another violation “will be very problematic.” We and others fully expect that will happen soon enough, if past behavior is any predictor of the future.
For now, the Belltown Hellcat isn’t supposed to post on social media at all, directly or indirectly. We’ll see how long that lasts.
