Reports indicate the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency or ICE is buying Mustangs to lure in real men. We’re not talking about ICE agents using Mustangs to catch illegal immigrants, but instead the pony cars are being used to get gearheads interested in joining the agency’s ranks.

Law enforcement agencies around the country use Mustangs, Hellcats, Corvettes, and sometimes exotic rides like Lamborghinis or Rolls-Royces to get people interested in joining up. It’s not an unusual strategy, but with the pearl-clutching media response to this news, one would think this is unprecedented.
ICE isn’t buying up EcoBoost Mustangs or the Mach-E to portray the right public image. No, it’s going for the big guns, snatching up Mustang GT muscle cars with the Coyote in an obvious move to use the symphony of testosterone produced by the V8 to get guys excited.
According to a report from Detroit Free Press, which of course hyperventilates about this practice, Ford won’t comment about the government buying Mustangs for ICE. Dealers it spoke with claimed they didn’t know what agency the muscle cars were going to.
And who can blame them for staying silent or maintaining ignorance as a defense? Everyone has seen the angry mobs which have no problem using violence to enforce their worldview, including attacking members of ICE and other federal law enforcement, not to mention anyone wearing a red hat.
The truly ironic part is fascists and other totalitarian ideologies tend to use physical force as an intimidation tactic, forcing others in society into silence and withdrawing support from those deemed unacceptable. And that’s what we have happening here.

Basically what this boils down to is ICE will roll up with some Mustang GTs at recruitment events, using the American muscle cars to warm up the crowd and getting guys talking to them.
It’s been using a Ford Raptor and GMC Yukon for the same purpose, each bearing the ICE logo and “defend the homeland” on the sides. On the back window is “President Donald J. Trump.”
The Mustangs reportedly will be getting the same aesthetic treatment.
