We don’t know who needs to hear this, but you should never steal a car while you’re naked, no matter what. Actually, you shouldn’t steal a car ever, but doing it unclothed just adds to the wrongness. That didn’t stop a man in North Carolina, so there are people who just don’t understand this principle.
Guy vandalizes a Tesla and gets instant karma.
That guy, who apparently lives in Raleigh, was walking around naked with a wooden post. He approached a guy who just got out of his car, demanding the keys. When the victim handed them over, the suspect then hit the victim with the post.
Instead of just taking that poor guy’s car, he then went up to a woman who had witnessed the crime. She was sitting in her car with the windows down, just eating her lunch like a normal person would.
The suspect reached in, pulled the woman out of her car, then tried driving away. Thankfully, he not only carries wooden posts, which is weird, he also doesn’t know how to operate a vehicle. The naked guy couldn’t figure out how to shift the transmission out of park.
Maybe it was one of those Mopar cars with the dial shifter? Or maybe this guy was on something, because who doesn’t know how to work an automatic transmission?
The guy ran away and hid in the nearby woods for hours before he was found by police. At least he didn’t successfully steal either car.
This story helps illustrate the need for people to stay aware of their situation. When you’re getting out of or into your vehicle, you’re pretty vulnerable to attacks. You usually are distracted by what you’re doing, so you fail to see people walking up.
The same thing goes for if you’re sitting in your car in a parking lot. People think they’re insulated, but especially with the windows down you’re a bit of a sitting duck. Staying aware of what’s going on around you could help you avoid a situation like this.
