A race between a Dodge Charger Scat Pack and a Charger Pursuit shouldn’t be anywhere near a contest. After all, the Scat Pack has at least 100-horsepower on the other car, boasting a factory-claimed 0-60 time of below 4.5 seconds.

However, this police chase turns out a little different than a comparison of the two Mopars on paper. In the real world there are many factors which aren’t accounted for in the vehicle specs, including how the cars are maintained and who’s driving them.
This Geogia State Patrol Trooper notices the red Scat Pack because of its super darkly tinted windows, including the windshield being tinted. That’s against the law in Georgia and so the trooper signals for the other Dodge to pull over.
At first it seems like our suspect is going to comply, however he doesn’t and so the trooper gives the back of the Scat Pack a friendly smooch, almost completely tearing off the bumper cover.
That’s when our suspect really drops the hammer, showing us all what the Charger Scat Pack can do. The big sedan really scoots, gapping the trooper as the two cars weave through traffic and blast through red lights.
For a while there the suspect looks like he really knows how to handle his car, at least well enough to get away. Then he tries taking a sharp right turn and we see all at once the guy’s driving skills are completely swamped.
Like a tortoise on its back, the Scat Pack ends up on the sidewalk, it’s low-slung chassis hung up on a curb and our suspect who really went for it gets arrested after trying to act natural and just walk away from the muscle car.
