Dragons’ Den Winner Crashes His Ferrari F430

Estimated read time 2 min read

Being in the public eye isn’t easy, but it’s even worse when you crash your Ferrari on camera. That’s the situation Dragons’ Den winner Ross Mendham faced recently after he wrecked out in his Ferrari F430 in Norwich, UK.

Remembering the cop who couldn’t stop crashing.

As footage which was shared by The Telegraph shows, the red sports car jumped the curb, almost hitting a jogger and two other pedestrians before plowing into a line of bike racks. This all happened in under two seconds, practically the blink of an eye, which is why even in a regular vehicle but especially in a performance car you have to stay alert and ready at all times.

A second camera’s view shows Mendham was negotiating a turn in the road with his Ferrari F430 when the vehicle appears to oversteer right off the road. This sadly is a common mistake people who aren’t used to high-powered, rear-wheel-drive cars can make and not know how to correct quickly.

We suggest if you don’t have experience behind the wheel of such a vehicle, to go get professional instruction. Many performance driving schools exist and through instructors who are often seasoned racecar drivers, you can learn about throttle steering and other advanced techniques.

As for the outcome of this crash, The Telegraph says Mendham thankfully wasn’t hurt. Normally we’d say that’s a good thing, but the guy is awaiting trial for allegedly punching his pregnant girlfriend in the face back in December. We can’t say if the charges have merit or not, but wow.

Mendham was able to start building a fortune after successfully securing investment in his low-calorie food venture, called Barenaked Foods today, back when he appeared on the reality TV show in 2013. Hopefully he has plenty of cash to fix his car and pay all the fines associated with this crash.
