Driving in winter storm conditions is no joke, as clearly illustrated in a video of a semi-truck running into a firetruck and other first responder vehicles in Michigan. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the accident, but it goes to show that when conditions are slippery, you need to slow down and take your time.
After a violent street takeover, cops in Florida are hunting down 30 suspects.
The incident, which was recorded on a sheriff’s office dashcam, happened on the morning of December 12 on Interstate 94 in Comstock Township. Deputies and firefighters were already on the shoulder assisting with a rollover crash, their emergency lights going, when a box truck comes barreling out of nowhere.

Already sideways and with debris flying from what sounds like a prior collision off camera, the box truck slams into the rear corner of the firetruck. With plenty of kinetic energy, that truck flips around and with its rear slams into a deputy’s patrol car parked in front of the fire engine. A fire battalion truck was also hit.
At the same time, you can see first responders running down the shoulder embankment, trying to escape the carnage unfolding right next to them. One even dives into the snow to put distance between him and the collision.
You can hardly blame these guys since they see just how bad accidents like this one can be firsthand. Immediately after, they start running toward the crashed truck.
The deputy inside our camera car then asks someone else off camera, “You guys okay?” Since we heard what sure sounded like a crash before the box truck came skidding sideways into the firetruck, it’s probably some people who were in another vehicle hit by the truck.
Always go under the speed limit in slippery conditions, give other vehicles way more room than normal, and remember you need to brake gradually, not suddenly. Stay safe, everyone!
