Camo-Wrapped Dodge Charger Eats It Running From Police

There’s something about Dodge Chargers and bad decisions with police, like this guy and his black-and-orange camo-wrapped Mopar. We have yet another example of someone taking a simple speeding violation and maybe one or other two citations and turning them into a felony plus a wrecked muscle car. He was caught doing 83 in a 65 mph zone but decided to run from the traffic stop in a regrettable choice.

Dodge Charger Scat Pack can’t shake a pursuing trooper.

When the Arkansas trooper initially pulls over the Charger, we can see the driver is wearing a flat-brimmed baseball cap backwards. The car, type of hat, and how it’s being worn combined are a clear sign the guy isn’t reputable, making a chase highly likely.

Surprisingly, the Mopar driver doesn’t just take off once the trooper walks up. Instead, he complies with producing his driver’s license and registration as the trooper notes the smell of marijuana. As the guy denies having any in the car, the trooper tells him to shut off the engine and step outside.

But our suspect only turns off the Dodge for a moment, then turns it back on and runs. Did he have second thoughts about complying with law enforcement? That split-second decision leads to a high-speed chase reaching over 140 mph at one point.

The guy also picks up a second trooper in pursuit after blasting by him. As that second trooper took up the primary position in the chase, he stuck to the suspect like glue. It’s amazing how many sub-par drivers in a fairly fast vehicle think they can outdrive well-trained law enforcement.

But as the guy reaches some semi-truck traffic, he goes left and the trooper goes right. We guess since he didn’t see the cop in his rearview mirror anymore he thought he was in the clear, because he lets up from the throttle.

That allows the trooper to get into position for a quick PIT maneuver at around 112 mph. While the trooper is able to keep his Charger from losing control, our suspect goes for a nice spinout at speed, hitting the concrete median divider nose-first.

Just paying for some citations is so much cheaper. Now the guy is facing stiffer charges and has a wrecked Mopar muscle car.
