Two guys are cooling their heels in a Miami-Dade jail after deputies spotted a hot-wired Lambo and chased it down near the Golden Glades mess on Wednesday. Cops finally nailed them at a Park & Ride off I-95, where the pair bailed from the pricey ride like rats off a sinking ship.
This whole mess started earlier when, according to investigators, the duo rolled up on a woman near SW 77th and 40th, snatched the keys right out of her hands, and vanished into the urban jungle with her flashy wheels. When the BOLO went out, deputies were on it like white on rice, tracking that neon-orange beacon of bad decisions across the county.
Then—boom—there it was, both suspects chilling inside like they hadn’t just pulled off a daylight heist. The chase was short but chaotic, ending with the guys stepping out of the Lambo, hands up, while chopper cameras caught every second of their walk of shame.
Meanwhile, just up the road in Broward, Fort Lauderdale cops were scrambling over reports of another sketchy ride lurking near SW 12th and 18th. BSO deputies ended up tailing a Lexus near Stranahan High, which locked down briefly—better safe than sorry—before the all-clear sounded.
Now, the big question: are these two cases tangled up somehow? Cops aren’t spilling much, but the timing’s suspicious. Meanwhile, Miami-Dade’s thieves aren’t going anywhere as investigators untangle the mess, from the brazen robbery to the reckless joyride in a six-figure supercar.
Honestly, stealing a Lamborghini in Miami? Bold move—doomed from the start. Everyone knows you can’t hide a car that screams “arrest me” louder than a fired-up protest.
Authorities from both counties are still digging, but one thing’s clear: some criminals really don’t think things through. Flashy cars and dumb luck never mix well. And for these two? Let’s just say their next ride might be a prison transport van.
