Miami Beach resident Stuart Schikora, 63, faces serious charges after allegedly deceiving a buyer in a Porsche sales scam. According to Miami-Dade police economic crimes detectives, Schikora offered the victim a new Porsche Macan GTS, valued at $70,000, for a significantly lower price of $57,000. However, after the victim transferred the funds, the luxury vehicle was never delivered, leading to Schikora’s arrest on two felony charges this Tuesday.
The incident, which unfolded over several months, began in 2019 when Schikora, then an employee at a Porsche dealership in Los Angeles, first met the victim. In February 2022, he convinced the victim that he could procure the 2022 model of the Porsche Macan GTS at a price below the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) using employee discounts. The victim, enticed by the offer, paid a $1,500 deposit for the vehicle, which was scheduled for delivery on June 1, 2022.

According to the arrest report, Schikora, who claimed to have a Florida dealer’s license, further requested and received four additional payments totaling $10,500, deposited into his Chase Bank account in Brickell. In August, Schikora informed the victim that the vehicle had arrived at PortMiami, leading the victim to transfer the final installment of $40,000.
Despite numerous email exchanges between September 2022 and January, Schikora failed to deliver the Porsche or provide any evidence of its existence. His arrest at his Ocean Drive condominium around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday was on charges of grand theft and an organized scheme to defraud. Schikora declined to speak with officers following his arrest.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Schikora is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with bail set at $12,500.
