Accidents happen, but it’s always disgusting when someone who’s involved in a crash just takes off. What’s even worse is when that person has fatally injured someone and they really don’t want to take responsibility. It appears that’s the case with a C8 Corvette driver in Los Angeles. Police are asking for the public’s helping finding this car.

Back on September 24 at about 1:23 am the C8 Corvette in that grainy image hit a man who was crossing La Brea Avenue. The sports car was headed south towards Sunset Boulevard, says Los Angeles Police Department in an official press release.
By the time firefighters arrived on the scene and started rendering aid, the unnamed male victim died of his injuries. Witnesses stated the driver of the C8 Corvette didn’t help the victim in any way. Police believe the car was speeding at the time but are unsure if the driver was impaired.
You can tell from the image this was a Rapid Blue C8 Corvette with body-color trim pieces and black wheels. While it’s possible the wheels are aftermarket, they’re likely from the factory. Some believe this has a clear roof option. What this all boils down to is a somewhat rare car, thanks to the factory options, including the color.
Police are offering a surprisingly healthy $50,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to the identification of the driver of this C8 Corvette. That money could help you buy your own sports car or do a lot of other things.
