Blackout Dodge Charger Gets Away Again

Eventually Arkansas State Police are going to catch this guy.

Not too long ago, we covered the mysterious Dodge Charger which has escaped pursuing Arkansas State Police troopers repeatedly. We know of at least six unsuccessful attempts at catching this driver in the past and now a seventh video recently dropped. The result is predictable, but this one was a little different.

See the secret supercar stash a grandma hid here.

Instead of a trooper waiting on the side of the road, seeing the Charger, pursuing it, then the Mopar driver turning out the lights or blacking out, this video starts with Trooper Montae Hernandez dealing with another driver on the left shoulder of a highway. As he’s speaking to the driver he has pulled over, he spots the Charger drive past without any lights on. That’s when he rushes to his cruise and the chase is on.

Here’s the thing: if the blackout or ghost Charger (people are calling it one or the other) driver doesn’t want to get caught, he probably could’ve driven right past that traffic stop with his lights on and not attracted any attention. In past videos he’s blasted by cops with his lights on, then switched them off once he realized they were trying to catch him. It’s almost like the guy is toying with Arkansas State Police.

What’s more, you can see as he goes past the trooper, the Mopar muscle car signals to pull into the left lane. So this guy gave law enforcement a wide berth during a traffic stop just like a responsible driver, while driving with his lights off supposedly in an attempt to go stealth, only to ruin the stealth nature of his driving by flipping on a turn signal. Again, it’s like at this point he’s toying with troopers.

Further backing up my suspicions is the fact Trooper Hernandez is able to catch up with the blackout Dodge Charger in short order, like the guy was just waiting for a pursuit to start. He signaled a few other lane changes for good measure, then shockingly pulls over on the right shoulder. This gives us the best look at the car up to this point, and it looks to be wearing a temp tag, helping to explain why this guy hasn’t been caught.

Before Trooper Hernandez can touch the rear taillight, the driver takes off like he’s on the drag strip and the Christmas tree just illuminated green.

Poor Trooper Hernandez stood no chance of keeping up as the ghost Dodge Charger once again slipped away into the night. Eventually they’re going to catch this guy and that’s going to be quite the story.
