Tesla Vaults Over Pool And Crashes Into House

Estimated read time 2 min read

Not that long ago a Tesla fanboy was explaining how all Tesla drivers are the best drivers on the road, never doing anything overly aggressive or crazy, because they have the best credit scores out of anyone. It’s a hilarious claim that’s easily debunked with stories like this one where a Model X went flying over a swimming pool, crashing into a house in San Mateo, California recently.

Guy crashes Camaro into house, casually answers front door when police show up.

The Tesla SUV ran off a residential road on the morning of November 17, hitting an embankment which helped give it wings to go flying over the backyard swimming pool, reports NBC Bay Area. Sadly, that turned the rather portly EV into a wrecking ball as it crashed through the back of the house.

Fortunately, nobody was home when this happened or someone might have been killed. The Tesla driver wasn’t hurt, so there’s that. Of course, every time a Tesla crashes lately everyone wants to know if AutoPilot was engaged and there’s nothing in the report about that.

When Tesla enthusiasts make these ridiculous claims about their vehicles or everyone who owns/drives them, all it does is encourage everyone else to ridicule them every time an incident like this goes down. Yes, there are other vehicles which have recently crashed into homes, notably a Mustang also in California, so we’re not saying this only happens with Teslas. We’re just saying this story proves that fat little piggy EVs can in fact fly over swimming pools, just they don’t land gracefully.
