Drunk Driver Calls 911 To Report Drunk Driver

Estimated read time 2 min read

We’ve covered only one other story before of a person breaking the law who called police on himself, which ended with a weird twist. This time around things are a little more straightforward. A man in Nebraska reportedly called 911 to report a wrong way driver who was possibly drunk, only the guy who called was the drunk wrong way driver.

Guy pulls gun on repo man, immediately regrets it.

Video taken by an officer who was traveling in the same direction on the other side of the same highway shows the Subaru Impreza traveling against the flow of traffic. We’d say the guy thought he was in jolly ol’ England and that the left side of the highway was the correct one, but he was sitting on the “wrong” side of the car and doesn’t have a British accent.

Instead, it’s obvious the guy was inebriated enough to be so turned around he perceived he was on the right side of the road. He was so convinced of that he had zero problems calling 911 to report the supposed dangerous drunk driver who almost hit him, never once thinking that perhaps he was the one in the wrong.

By the time a cop pulled him over, the guy finally realized he was on the wrong side of the road, even admitting his fault to the officer. Reportedly, the man was driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit in Nebraska, so it was impressive that he was traveling in a straight line and could remember how to dial 911.

Even though this situation had a peaceful resolution, drunk driving often ends with someone getting seriously hurt or killed. If you do go out drinking, please have a designated driver or get an Uber instead of climbing behind the wheel afterward.
