We’ve seen fleeing suspects make wild leaps from pitted cars, almost as if they think they’re superheroes, but we don’t recommend it. A man fleeing in a white Toyota Tundra learned that lesson the hard way, hitting the pavement hard after jumping from the vehicle.
Bailing from a moving or just-stopped car is extremely dangerous. The painful outcome is a reminder that such desperate escape attempts rarely work and often add injury to an already bad situation.
