The interior of this Eldorado Biarritz, restored by Carl Kranston of Original Leather Interiors, features luxurious black leather and is equipped with a host of original amenities, including a signal-seeking Wonder Bar AM radio, EZ Eye glass, a heater, and a Casco automatic cigar/cigarette lighter. Additional features like the Autronic-Eye, remote control trunk lock, and the painstakingly anodized gold Sabre wheels underscore the vehicle’s attention to detail and originality.

Having received the Cadillac and LaSalle Club Senior Award at the 2019 Grand National Meet in Louisville, Kentucky, this Eldorado Biarritz’s provenance is well documented. It comes with a known ownership history, restoration photos, receipts, and documents, as well as the owner’s manual, Cadillac shop manual, an advertising glamour brochure, official judging manual, authenticity manual, and a Cadillac parts list manual.

Originally introduced in 1953, the Cadillac Eldorado quickly became one of the world’s most exclusive cars, with the Eldorado Biarritz convertible and its hardtop counterpart, the Eldorado Seville, epitomizing the pinnacle of luxury and design. This 1956 model, shipped new to Kansas City, Kansas, and now known as one of the finest examples of its kind, is poised to captivate collectors and enthusiasts alike at the Glendale 2024 auction.

This vehicle and 2000 more are available for sale at Mecum’s Glendale Auction taking place March 5-9.
