Hertz has been on quite a streak lately. After some customers claimed they were pulled over and arrested for supposedly stealing their rentals, the company is now reportedly charging Tesla renters for returning the electric cars without filling a gas tank.
Billing EV renters for fuel they don’t use is a baffling administrative error. The mistake adds to a growing list of customer service stumbles that have left the rental giant fielding complaints and embarrassment.
