Police across the US and Canada have been dismantling sizable car theft rings in quick succession, and one of the latest comes from Michigan. Authorities say six men they arrested belonged to an organized criminal group behind numerous vehicle thefts.
Each ring dismantled chips away at the organized networks fueling auto theft. The Michigan bust adds to a string of recent successes, offering some hope that coordinated enforcement is making inroads against the persistent problem.
