A speeding Ford Mustang wrecked out gloriously, coming to rest in someone’s front yard after destroying their fence, among other things. It’s this sort of accident which not only gives a bad name to Mustang drivers but to car enthusiasts in general, even if the driver isn’t really a gearhead.
A high-speed crash leaves a Ford Mustang Boss 302 mangled.
Witnesses in the Boston area where the crash happened told local news outlet WCVB that the driver was speeding at the time of the accident. Considering the pony car took out not only the fence but a power pole and a concrete pole, rolling over several times, that seems obvious.
We know a lot of times accidents like this happen when someone is showboating or doing dangerous stuff to get attention and/or maybe capture video to post online, to get attention on social media.
And every time this happens, in the minds of many it becomes a problem with the “car guys” of the community, even if the driver isn’t one of us. A lot of people like thinking in broad brush strokes because it’s easier.
After the crash, the injured Mustang driver reportedly was yelling for help. Firefighters had to peel off the roof like they were opening a can of dog food, extricating the injured man. We hope he learned a valuable lesson and realized he was lucky to be alive.
Ultimately, this crash is a great reminder that if you own a performance vehicle, you need to not drive recklessly, especially in residential areas. Crashing into someone’s home is not only a bad look, it’s a horrible thing to do
Enjoy your car but do so responsibly. The future of this hobby depends on all of us not acting like dorks.
