C7 Corvette ZR1 Stolen And Gutted

Estimated read time 2 min read

A rare C7 Corvette ZR1 convertible was stolen in Canada and the frame was dumped on a rural dirt road in the Niagara area, shocking locals. After all, the American sports car is worth a sizable sum, yet it was just picked apart as if it were just another Hyundai, a shocking end to what should have been a wondrous vehicle.

Hurricane Helene wrecks roads, including interstates, leaving people stranded.

The owner, who lives in Grimsby, contacted police to report that his C7 ZR1 had been stolen back in August. While perhaps the guy was holding out hope it would be found, in a way that was fulfilled, just not entirely.

Replacing the ‘Vette wouldn’t be easy for the owner, considering CTV News says it’s believed there were only three like it in all of Canada. There aren’t too many more in the US and a lot of owners probably aren’t willing to let theirs go. After all, they’re truly special machines.

Car thieves really don’t care how special your vehicle is or how much you care for it. All they want is quick money and if that means stripping your ride like a vulture going after a carcass, dumping the bones on some rural dirt road, then so be it.

This is why we believe car thieves should be treated harshly by authorities. After all, they can do great harm to people, taking away not only their means of transportation or even their livelihood but also their sense of security. Many have been backed into a financial corner by thieves plundering whatever they please.

People who live in the area told CTV News at least three stripped vehicles have been dumped there recently. We hope authorities figure out who’s behind these crimes and that they can work with prosecutors to ensure those responsible receive the maximum punishment for what they’ve done.
