A white sixth-generation Camaro was discovered submerged in the Red River near Natchitoches, Louisiana when a fisherman spotted it on Sunday, October 13. The first fear was that someone might be trapped inside, but sheriff’s office divers determined no one was in the muscle car.

Investigators later confirmed the Camaro had been stolen, adding another twist to the strange recovery. How exactly it ended up in the water remains part of the puzzle authorities are working to solve.
