Distraction is a real problem on public roads these days and it’s being blamed for this crash between a Lamborghini Aventador and a motorcycle. We can’t imagine hitting such an expensive, not to mention beautiful, supercar and what that might mean financially. Even with insurance footing the bill, you would be facing a world of hurt afterward.

The footage shared on Instagram looks like it was filed somewhere in Asia, perhaps India, where motorcycles are much more common forms of transportation and supercars are more of a rarity than here.
Not only is there a noticeable lack of lane lines painted on the road, it seems people are just going whatever speed and not really signaling lane changes. Although the Lambo driver is going slower than a bike that speeds through the foreground and is in fact using his blinker as he moves the Italian supercar to the left.
However, another rider who has a passenger seated behind him appears to just not see the bright orange vehicle which sticks out like a sore thumb. In the video it’s not apparent the rider is distracted – he appears to be looking forward.
But it’s also obvious the rider isn’t paying attention. Maybe he’s thinking about dinner or what he plans to do on the weekend, we don’t know. But he obviously wasn’t focusing on the road and the supercar he was barreling towards.
It looks like the guy hits the brakes at the last second, mitigating the collision. Instead of him and his passenger flipping over the handlebars and onto the Lambo, the front tire of the bike seems to tap the rear bumper. That impact sends the two and the motorcycle toppling over
We really hope the riders are okay and the Aventador wasn’t really damaged. But this proves even without cellphones and infotainment screens, drivers and riders can be distracted.
