Car thieves tend to be utterly indifferent to the harm they cause, as shown by a man who stole a business’s box truck while an employee was still in the cargo area. Thankfully, the worker, who clung to the back of the truck, escaped serious injury.
The reckless theft could easily have ended in tragedy. The incident underscores the callous disregard thieves often have for innocent bystanders, treating a person’s safety as an afterthought in their rush to make off with a vehicle.
