In general, we advise against running from police, but when you’re behind the wheel of your Dodge Charger, it’s raining, plus your baby momma and kids are in the car, we’d say that’s really a good time to just pull over. But the guy in today’s dashcam footage of course doesn’t do that, resulting in a 140 mph crash which fortunately doesn’t result in serious injuries or worse.
Watch a Grappler Bumper end a police chase, only with a big crash.
The Arkansas trooper says he clocked the Charger, which was going the opposite direction, going 73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Already, that’s just plain foolish to do in the rain, kids or not kids in your ride. Still, some will blame the trooper for supposedly creating a dangerous situation.
After turning around and trying to catch up to the suspect, the trooper pushes his cruiser to 140 mph. Even with training, that’s a pretty gutsy thing to do. Some will call it reckless and dangerous, but we’d rather hear what state troopers with high-speed pursuit training think about that.
Meanwhile, our “responsible” father is doing the same thing, only putting his offspring and the woman he supposedly loves in mortal danger. Not to mention a four-year-old wasn’t in a child seat and a baby was in a forward-facing car seat, details the trooper learned after the crash.
The crash wasn’t much of one, the driver pulling into a parking lot and overshooting, rolling over a curb. That was enough the damage the radiator on the Mopar muscle car and end the pursuit. We’d say that move potentially saved some innocent lives.
According to the trooper’s report, the female passenger provided false information about her baby daddy’s name and birthdate. Maybe she didn’t know his real name and age? At this point, we’d believe it and that’s really sad.
