Men can do some truly dumb things in an attempt to impress women, like this guy who ran from police so his girlfriend would think he’s a big man. What the guy didn’t know was the Arkansas trooper chasing him is known for taking suspects down quickly and effectively, meaning he stood little chance of escape.
Carjacking at US border triggers huge law enforcement response.
That of course was the famous Trooper Jacob Byrd who’s executed some of the most beautiful PIT maneuvers ever recorded on dashcam. As you can see in this footage, Trooper Byrd spots the white Dodge Charger speeding in the opposite direction, flips around, and starts tailing the suspect.
But our Mopar driver doesn’t want to pull over and get a ticket. Instead, he’s intent on showing off for his girl, proving his manliness to her by humiliating a cop – or so he thinks.
Taking backroads, our wanna-be not only starts speeding more, he blasts through red lights and stop signs, whips through turns, and even goes into the opposing lane of traffic. We wonder if his girlfriend was encouraging him, stroking his ego during the short thrill ride.
One thing we know for sure, someone on the passenger side of the car started sticking their arms out of the window during the chase. People do that for one of two reasons: to plead for help or to act like they’re on a roller coaster. Once Trooper Byrd PITs the Charger, someone else does the same thing and that time the intent is obvious.
Realizing they were done, all four people in the Dodge put their hands up as directed instead of trying to run off. That’s refreshing since so many who flee police think when their driving skills run out they’re star sprinters.
Romeo looks pretty scared and keeps glancing over at Juliett, we guess to see if she’s still impressed. We bet there’s a good chance she dumped him after her parents bailed her out of jail.
