Some guys think because they’re in a Dodge Challenger or some other high-powered muscle car they’re unstoppable. But what a suspect in a stolen Mopar finds out really quick is a simple device can bring that vehicle to its knees, cutting off his escape and leaving him in cuffs yet again.

Someone needs to teach this guy how to drive his Dodge Challenger.

It helps that the stolen Challenger is orange, so the muscle car sticks out like a sore thumb. Police in the area locate it after receiving a notification it’s been spotted and a chase ensues when they try pulling it over.

While the suspect in the Mopar has more power and better acceleration, what he doesn’t know is another cop had Stop Sticks set up in a trap on the road ahead. While the suspect was concentrating on the cruiser with its lights activated behind him, he completely missed the simple device as it was pulled in front of the stolen vehicle at the last moment.

Not only were the Stop Sticks effective, they hit all four tires in that first and only attempt. That’s pretty good and shows these cops know what they’re doing. Plus, the lead pursuit car didn’t hit them, thanks to the guy’s colleague pulling them out of the way rapidly. Training sure makes a difference.

But our suspect, whom we learn later just got out of jail, isn’t going to let something like four flat tires stop him from continuing to make poor decisions. Rather than pull over and surrender, he keeps pushing the muscle car until it’s skating on bare metal rims and veers off the road.

Crashed out and disabled, the Mopar can’t keep going and our suspect is arrested at gunpoint. It’s all thanks to a simple device, Stop Sticks, and some good training on how to use them effectively.
