Jaguar Land Rover was among the smaller automakers that abruptly halted US shipments after President Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on imported new cars. Now the British brand, owned by India’s Tata, appears to have reconsidered and restarted its exports.
The reversal suggests the company decided that abandoning the lucrative American market was not a sustainable response. Resuming imports indicates Jaguar Land Rover would rather navigate the tariffs than walk away from US buyers altogether.
