Watching a Kia Boy of the famous Kia Boyz theft trend try to outrun a Georgia trooper in his stolen, Gerbil powered crossover is actually pretty interesting. After he led local law enforcement on a high-speed chase on Interstate 75 in Henry County, we wonder if he just thought the police would follow but not try to take him out. He was, of course, dead wrong.
Watch a Georgia trooper PIT a fleeing suspect in the worst spot possible.
In the dashcam footage, the trooper jumps into the chase that’s already in progress, quickly getting right up on the stolen Hyundai. We know some people will try to point out this isn’t really a Kia Boyz situation since the guy’s not driving a Kia. Those same people probably also think a Nissan and Infiniti are completely different.
We would never run from law enforcement, but if we were to try something dumb like that, once a cop jumps into the middle of the chase, takes the lead, and starts getting right up on us, we’d just pull over, realizing nothing good is coming.
This guy isn’t that smart, the same as so many other people who do run from police. Instead, he flogs the little crossover, pushing the four-banger as hard as it will go, which is enough for the trooper’s cruiser to easily keep up.
Why the trooper waits to PIT the stolen Hyundai isn’t entirely clear. He makes like he’s going to do just that early in the chase, but backs off. The suspect driver also makes some moves at the same time, so that might have had something to do with the decision.
Generally, Georgia State Patrol has a reputation for being aggressive because troopers don’t back off easily. The trooper does eventually PIT the fleeing crossover, the trooper barely keeping his cruiser from losing control as well. The guy pulls a nice 180-degree turn at the end of the save, then goes to help make the arrest.
Just as we suspected, the suspect behind the wheel looks young. This trend, which was fueled by some TikTok challenge, is beyond tiresome.
