A passenger riding in a rented Lamborghini Huracan fired a handgun into the air during a wedding procession in Michigan. Police did track down the suspect and impounded the Italian exotic supercar. People are shocked such a thing happened, but we honestly aren’t.
The all-electric Mercedes G-Wagon isn’t selling.
The wedding procession was comprised of many cars traveling from Canton to Dearborn on the evening of June 1. Filled with joy at seeing a relative or friend getting married, a member of the wedding party expressed that emotion by aiming their handgun into the air through the Lambo’s open window, the squeezing off a few rounds.
Usually, we see this tradition play out at weddings in the Middle East. Many gun safety instructors use footage of people shooting guns into the air at these celebrations as perfect examples of how to not properly handle a firearm.

There are a few other places in the world where this is a thing, like Russia, but until recently the US wasn’t one of them.
This sort of behavior is disturbing because the bullets don’t just disappear. They come back down to Earth somewhere and do so at high velocity. While it doesn’t sound like anyone was hurt in this incident, firing a gun into the air can turn deadly.
Dearborn Police Department posted a video to Facebook about the incident. In it a member of the force warns that one way or another, this sort of reckless behavior will lead police to finding and busting the person.
In this case, a driver’s dashcam caught the random shooting. That footage no doubt helped police track down the suspect. It probably helped that the Huracan is purple and thus sticks out like a sore thumb.
