Shakira Reportedly Spent $15.2 Million Shipping Her Car Collection to Miami

Shakira’s move to Miami following her split from Gerard Piqué reportedly came with an unusually expensive detail: transporting her personal car collection from Spain to Florida. According to reports, the cost of relocating her vehicles came to approximately $15.2 million.

What’s in the Collection

The reported lineup includes three Mercedes-Benz models, an SL550, SLK250, and S-Class, along with a Tesla Model S, a Jeep Wrangler, and a BMW X6. Rounding out the collection are an Audi Q7, an Audi A7 Sportback, a Mini Cooper, and a SEAT Leon, reportedly kept as a sentimental reminder of her years living in Spain. A purple Lamborghini Urus she was previously known for driving is reportedly no longer part of the collection, with some reports suggesting she gave it away.

Why the Cost Was So High

Shipping a fleet of vehicles internationally involves considerably more than standard freight costs. Each vehicle typically requires import duties, customs documentation, specialized transport, and modifications to meet U.S. road compliance standards, along with insurance coverage for the duration of transit. Every car in the collection reportedly had to be inspected, certified, and legally cleared before it could be driven on U.S. roads.

Why She Reportedly Chose to Bring Them All

For many collectors, particularly public figures with long, well-documented histories with specific vehicles, cars can carry sentimental value tied to specific memories or milestones rather than simply serving as transportation. That appears to be part of why the entire collection made the move rather than being sold off during the relocation.

An Eight-Figure Illustration of Celebrity Relocation Costs

While most people moving to a new country budget for standard shipping costs, Shakira’s reported car relocation expense underscores how differently logistics can scale for high-profile individuals with extensive personal vehicle collections.
