A Wisconsin man is facing criminal charges after authorities say he drove an SUV through the wall of a Janesville dealership and made off with a limited-edition Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Demon 170. Investigators identified the suspect as Myqwon Greer, who was already known to police from a prior attempted theft involving a Dodge Durango Hellcat in Beloit back in October 2024.
How the Break-In Happened
According to authorities, the April 8, 2025 incident began when Greer and accomplices allegedly rammed a Ford Explorer straight into the exterior wall of the dealership’s showroom. The collision punched an opening large enough for the group to walk in and access the vehicles inside. Once inside, investigators say Greer grabbed a stolen power drill and several Coach purses before loading them into the Dodge Challenger Demon 170 and driving it straight out through the damaged opening. The group then fled the scene together.
Why the Demon 170 Was the Target
The Challenger SRT Hellcat Demon 170 is one of the most limited, highest-performance vehicles Dodge has ever built, which makes it an obvious target for thieves looking to flip a high-value vehicle quickly. Beyond the loss of the car itself, the ramming impact left significant structural damage to the dealership’s showroom, adding property-damage costs on top of the stolen vehicle and merchandise.
A Repeat Player in Dealership Thefts
Authorities say this wasn’t Greer’s first attempt at stealing a high-performance Dodge. He was previously linked to an unsuccessful attempt to steal a Dodge Durango Hellcat from a Beloit dealership in October 2024, suggesting a pattern of specifically targeting Dodge’s most powerful models rather than opportunistic, random theft.
The April incident remains under investigation as law enforcement works to determine the full extent of the damage and attempts to recover the stolen Demon 170. Officials have not released details identifying the accomplices involved. Greer is expected to face charges related to burglary, theft, and property damage as the case moves forward, though as with any pending case, those charges remain allegations at this stage.
