A Corvette driver clocked speeds exceeding 160 mph, leading police on a dangerous chase across Los Angeles on Saturday, December 16, 2023. The incident, starting around 11 p.m. in Baldwin Park, quickly escalated as the driver refused to pull over when authorities attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding.
Accelerating westbound on the 10 Freeway, the Corvette zipped through Los Angeles, passing Encino and Tarzana. Authorities, struggling to keep pace, were compelled to disengage near Thousand Oaks owing to the perilous speeds involved. Throughout the pursuit, the Corvette driver was seen skillfully weaving through freeway traffic, narrowly avoiding collisions with other vehicles.

In an attempt to halt the speeding vehicle, officers deployed a spike strip. However, their efforts proved futile as the Corvette continued its high-speed escapade unabated. The pursuit reached a critical point where the safety of other road users and officers became a paramount concern, prompting the decision to terminate the chase.
As of now, the Corvette driver remains at large, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to apprehend the driver.
