The incident, starting around 11 p.m. in Baldwin Park, quickly escalated as the driver refused to pull over when authorities attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding.

Accelerating westbound on the 10 Freeway, the Corvette zipped through Los Angeles, passing Encino and Tarzana.
