Los Angeles is known for long, high-speed pursuits, fueled in part by the maze of freeways snaking through the area. Two suspects in a stolen Mercedes SUV exploited that and more in an attempt to escape police during a wild chase.
The city’s sprawling freeway network gives fleeing suspects ample room to run. Even so, the chase ended the way most do, with the stolen SUV’s occupants unable to outlast the coordinated police response.
