People do strange things, like this Chevy Camaro driver blasting right past a Georgia trooper at over 100 mph. We’re guessing either the suspect didn’t see there was a cop or wanted the challenge of getting away. Whatever the reason, it doesn’t end well for the guy.
The Camaro Batmobile got busted by police.
After flying past the trooper, who immediately turns on his lights, the Camaro driver drops the hammer and pulls away, gapping the cruiser by a fair margin. The guy was probably feeling pretty smug in that moment, believing he had dealt quite the blow to trooper’s ego while boosting his own big time.
Just like we’ve seen from Georgia State Patrol before, the trooper chases after the fleeing suspect relentlessly. Coming across a pocket of fairly thick traffic, our suspect slows down and that’s all his pursuer needs to turn the tables.
Too late, the Camaro driver realizes he can go onto the left shoulder and get around slower vehicles. Coming up on him like a bat out of hell, the trooper almost collides with the muscle car. But the suspect nails it again, veering into the right lane to get around the slowdown and keep the trooper at bay.
All he’s doing in delaying the inevitable, but the suspect sure is going to make the trooper work for his collar.
He pulls another fast move, this time slowing way down when coming up on another group of cars. The trooper has to slam on his brakes to do the same, both vehicles next to each other. They rub like a pair of NASCAR racers before the suspect tries accelerating away and the trooper does a quick PIT.
However, the suspect recovers and doesn’t spin out. But there seems to be mechanical damage because he can’t keep the Camaro going straight as it keeps jerking suddenly to the right. Capitalizing on that, the trooper hits the muscle car hard, deploying the airbags and ending the chase how Georgia State Patrol does it best: ruthlessly.
