A school zone in San Antonio, Texas was the scene of yet another violent road rage fight which involved a gun. Thankfully, no shots were fired and the alleged aggressor reportedly was injured by his own firearm in an unusual twist of events.
Watch a police PIT immediately turn into a gunfight.
According to KENS 5, a man in an Audi pulled to the side of the road after seeing another driver behaving recklessly in the school zone. We’ve all seen people do those sorts of things, which is disturbing considering kids were walking to the nearby school at the time.
That’s when the Audi driver told the other driver to slow down, we’re betting with plenty of yelling and sharp language. The other guy took exception to the harsh correction, pulled over, then confronted the Audi driver before taking off.
While not a great exchange, had things been left there wouldn’t have been anything really to report. But before the Audi driver left the school zone, the other guy returned, got out of his car, then produced a gun. We guess he was ready to demonstrate how he doesn’t get pushed around.
But all he did was make a fool of himself, get injured, and might pick up some criminal charges. The Audi driver was able to disarm the guy, then fired at him before pistol whipping the road rager. He reportedly might need stitches from that.
At the time of the report, no charges had been filed and the investigation was ongoing.
One big takeaway from this is the lesson that once people get out of their cars, bad things happen. If you have someone raging out at you on the road, stay in your vehicle. That doesn’t guarantee an attack won’t happen, but it does cut down on the chance it will. Also, don’t bring a gun to a fistfight.
