As the crackdown on illegal street takeovers presses on, some participants will go to extreme lengths to avoid getting caught. For two men in a Chrysler 300 fleeing a takeover in East Los Angeles, that meant pushing the Mopar to a staggering pace.
Reaching around 150 mph during the pursuit put everyone on the road in serious danger. It’s a reckless illustration of how far some will go to escape accountability.
